Lula Edna (Hamby) Hensley, 87, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 10, 2009. Funeral services were held Aug. 13 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Bob Kastens officiating. Interment was in Turner Cemetery.
Mrs. Hensley was born June 4, 1922, in Crossville, the daughter of Alvin Hamby and Pearl (Burgess) Hamby.
She was retired from Cumberland Medical Center where she was a unit secretary. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include her son, Alvin Wayne Hensley of Crossville; daughter, Ruth Ann (Hensley) Wrobel of Hartford, CT; special grandson, Steven Hensley (Regina); brothers, James Hamby of Crossville and Robert Hamby of Hamilton, MT; sister, Mary Monday of Crossville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Hensley; brothers, Ervia Hamby and Johnny Hamby; and sisters, Clara Brandon, Edith Honeycutt, Cora Greenburg and Jo Sutherland.
Pallbearers were Harold Honeycutt, Marty Carter and Zack Hinkle.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
