Lucille (Walsh) Butler, 89, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Aug. 8, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. Funeral services were held Aug. 14 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. John Halliburton officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens, with military honors provided by the Tennessee Army National Guard 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment.
Mrs. Butler was born July 29, 1920, in London, OH, the daughter of the late Joshua and Ruie (Bailey) Walsh.
She worked as a helper at the Golf Pro Shop and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a Women's Army Corps in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Patton of Crossville; sons, Bruce Butler of Cincinnati, OH, and David Butler of Akron, OH; and sister, Phyllis Hilgeman of Kettering, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Butler; grandson, Bo Patton; brothers, Jack Walsh and Prentise Walsh; and sisters, Thelma Henderson and Ruth Hall.
Pallbearers were Jeff Houston, Jeremy Jones, Warren Huddleston, Kenny Oaker, Mike Butler and Andy Walsh.
