Amber Brooke McBride, 15, of Crossville, passed away March 31, 2008. Funeral services were conducted April 4 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Kerley officiating. Special music was provided by Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Amber was born Nov. 12, 1992, in Nashville.

She was a ninth-grade student at Cumberland County High School. She enjoyed cheering, dancing, texting, MySpace, trampoline, playing Rock Band Hero, eating spicy foods, taking pictures, and most of all, spending time with her animals and being with her mother.

Survivors include her mother, Karen McBride; sisters, Tara (Derek) Myers and Nikki Hartings; nephew, Ryder Myers, all of Crossville; grandmother, Margaret McBride of Bryan, OH; and her dog, Korki.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Truman McBride.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at ASPCA Gift Processing Center, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20077-7127.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
