The public is making good use of the resources available at the Art Circle Library. Above, Kathy and Tom Mauge stop by the circulation desk, where Bobbi Hamby helps them check out several books. Statistics from the library show almost 1,000 more items were checked out of the library in 2012 than in 2011, with 15,414 patrons checking out 17,546 items. Much of the growth has been in downloads of books from the Regional Ebook and Audio Download System and audiovisual materials. The Art Circle Library, at 3 East St., is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Wednesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit www.artcirclelibrary.com for information on upcoming events.
