he city of Crossville Tree Board celebrated Tennessee's 2013 Arbor Day last Friday by handing out more than 1,700 trees at the parking lot of York & Bilbrey at 456 N. Main Street (beside the new city hall). People of all ages attended the event and braved cold temperatures, snow and wind to get their trees. Assisting in the annual Arbor Day tree giveaway were members of the Cumberland County Master Gardeners and members of the Wyndham Resorts Green Committee of Fairfield Glade. Crossville was recognized by the nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA, the 10th year the city has earned that designation.
