Bradford Allen Vaughan and Elizabeth Marie Wilson
David and Teresa Wilsonof Strawberry Plains are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Marie Wilson, to Bradford Allen Vaughan of Crossville. He is the son of Lee and Charlotte Vaughan of Crossville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Donna Wade and the late John Edward Wade of Strawberry Plains and David and Aletta Wilson of Etowah. She is the sister of Jennifer Danielle Wilson and David Leon Wilson III of Strawberry Plains.
The 2003 valedictorian of Carter High School went on to attend the University of Tennessee where she graduated summa cum laude in 2007 as a member of the College Scholars program. As an undergraduate, she was named to Phi Beta Kappa and was selected as a Baker Scholar and Torchbearer, the highest award given to undergraduate students at the university. She is entering her third year at the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Thelma Bowman and the late Goldie Bowman of Crossville and Thelma Vaughan and the late Elmer Vaughan of Newport News, VA.
He is a 2002 graduate of Cumberland County High School and a 2006 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he was named to the Phi Beta Kappa society and the Baker Scholars program. He completed a master's degree in business administration in 2008 and is entering his third year at the University of Tennessee College of Law.
The couple will be joined by friends and family for a wedding ceremony to be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Immaculate Conception Church in downtown Knoxville at 3:30 p.m. Father Marcos Zamora will officiate.
They will reside in Knoxville as they complete their legal studies.
