The Cumberland County Community Band and Cumberland County Community Chorus are combining their talents for a veterans concert to be held Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Stone Memorial High School auditorium on Cook Rd. in Crossville. Admission is free, but donations are gladly accepted.
The evening’s program will include a collection of patriotic melodies and Americana favorites performed separately and combined by the band, under the direction of Brian Bacon, and the chorus, under the direction of Marty Gibson. Accompanying the chorus on piano will be Rebecca Gentry.
They invite everyone to this evening of musical entertainment celebrating our freedom and thanking those who fought to preserve it and continue to do so today. This year’s concert will benefit the Disabled American Veterans Post 32 in Crossville.
Show your support for veterans by attending this concert. If you cannot attend but wish to make a donation, make your check payable to DAV—Post 32 and mail it to Jan Schimmel, ATTN: VBConcert, 352 Lige Rd., Crossville, TN 38555.
