Sheryl Reeser, one of the Art Guild’s most popular teachers, is offering a half-day workshop titled “Watercolor on Rice Paper.” It is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. Held at the Plateau Creative Arts Center, 451 Lakeview Road, in Fairfield Glade, the cost will be $20 ($15 for members).
Reeser states that participants will learn how to prepare rice paper so that a painting can be designed and completed on it. “This is such an exciting workshop,” says Le Vos, exhibits coordinator for the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade. “Sheryl is a seasoned teacher who has the ability to teach all levels of skill so that the students are well pleased with their results. The rice paper brings such a rich texture to the painting, that it invites innovation and originality. It’s a great opportunity to expand one’s creativity, no matter your experience with watercolor.”
