AROUND THE TOWN: Local actress hits the big screen — again
Cumberland County actress Julie Ann Emery will once again play an FBI agent in the upcoming film, Nothing But The Truth. Filmed in Memphis, it is a star-studded film and scheduled to be released in December. Emery will join a cast that features Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon, David Schwimmer, Noah Wyle and Alan Alda in a story ripped from the headlines about a jailed reporter (Beckinsale) who will not reveal her source after a CIA agent is ousted.
Written and directed by Rod Lurie, the movie is Emery's second major motion picture. She also appeared with Will Smith and Eva Mendes in the popular movie Hitch several years ago.
Emery, a graduate of Cumberland County High School and the Webster Conservatory in St. Louis, also has recurring roles in televisions October Road and The Riches. She has also appeared in Dexter, House, Army Wives, The Ghost Whisperer, Pictures of Hollis Woods and The Rainbow Tribe.
Emery is the daughter of Janice Fields of Crossville. She and her husband live in California.
