Creative Compassion, Inc. begins the New Year with a new executive director. Although Sarah Derrick is not new to the agency, she has served as associate director for the past three years, and at the December annual board meeting, was named executive director.
Derrick has a B.S. degree in organizational management and more than 12 years of experience in non-profit management. Prior to coming to CCI, she worked for the local public housing authority. Derrick holds several certificates relevant to her new position, including Certified Grant Writer, Certified Public Housing Manager, Certified Public Housing Eligibility Specialist, just to name a few. Derrick has recently been named president of the local Homebuilders Association and has lived and worked in Cumberland County for more than 30 years. She participated in the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Cumberland Program in 2006.
