Little Lake Catherine was the site of Fairfield Glade Bass Club's Tournament 6, with 25 fishermen participating. Lake Catherine gave up only 25 fish, but the quality and size of the fish was better than average. The results of tournament 6 are as follows:
First place: Jerry Smith and Bill Desmond, 3 fish weighing 7.12 pounds
Second place: Jim Webb, 5 fish weighing 5.15 pounds
Third place: John Slinkand and Joe Boggio, 1 fish weighing 4.5 pounds
Big Bass honors went to Jerry Smith, with his 22 inch 5.21 pound largemouth.
Tournament 7 was held on Fairfield Glade's Lake Canterbury with 20 fishermen and 33 bass being caught.
The results are as follows:
First place: Bill Hunt and Frank Fitchko, 5 bass weighing 6.98 pounds
Second place: Frank Feidler and Richard Green, 2 fish weighing 4.82 pounds
Third place: Jim Webb and Mike O'Hara, 5 fish weighing 4.13 pounds
Big Bass honors went to Frank Feidler, with his 22 1/2 inch bass weighing 4.125 pounds, which outweighed Frank Fitchko's 22-inch bass by .025 of a pound.

Memorial Day ceremony set Monday at 11 a.m.
The Cumberland County Veterans Council will sponsor a Memorial Day Ceremony May 28 at the Cumberland County Veterans Memorial Park. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. with the Cumberland County Band performing, flag/colors presentation, an incredible singer, guest speakers and a special key-note speaker.
