Are you looking for an exceptional experience? Something new to do? A little more spice in you life? Then whether you are new to Fairfield Glade or a long-time resident, there is something important you need to know. It is the "Lifetime Learning Project," and it offers a wide range of stimulating courses each fall.
This year’s offerings are no exception. Courses include: Military History; Power of a Whisper; Book Reviews; Romance of the Tartan; Model Railroading; Tennessee Around Us; Medicare and You; Conversational Spanish; French Flair Cooking; Asian Fusion Cooking; Great Books; Decorating Your Home on a Budget; Buying and Selling on the Internet; Stamping; Pioneer Hall Museum; Basic Drawing; and, "Snapshots" of Interesting and Useful Information.
For more information on each of these courses, look for the bright yellow booklets available at the following locations: Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center, Fairfield Glade Library, Fairfield Glade Art Guild, Yarn Patch, Curves, First National Bank of Tennessee, and most Fairfield Glade churches. Registration will take place on Aug. 7 at the Fairfield Glade Community Center, from 1-2 p.m. It costs only $12 for as many classes as you wish to take, and is available to all Fairfield Glade residents and church members.
Remember the Lifetime Learning Project’s goal is to serve the community with a diverse offering of enrichment classes for adults. If you have ideas for new classes or comments about existing ones, we would like to hear from you. We also welcome inquiries by those interested in sharing their gifts as teachers or lecturers. If you have a talent or skill that you would like to share in the future as an instructor, please contact Marilyn Garlick, program coordinator, at (931) 456-0819.
