The Cumberland United Fund’s Fairfield Glade Door-to-Door campaign runs through Nov. 15. Volunteers like Leon and Linda Embry have collected over $18,000.
The United Fund continues to fulfill our mission of raising money to help people in our local community. A hero comes home
On Monday, June 24, Marine Sgt. Christopher Hancock, a Crossville native, will be returning home for his first visit since sustaining life-changing injuries in combat almost exactly two years ago.

On June 11, Big Canoe, a community much like Fairfield Glade located in Georgia, met with members of the board of directors of FGRS to study how they might implement many of the programs FGRS offers to the residents of Fairfield Glade.

Organizers of the annual July 4 Pro-Troop Rally have announced a program honoring our troops and veterans will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 at the Cumberland County Court House.

Scholarships for deserving students were awarded at the June 5 meeting of the Fairfield Glade Ladies Club.

Newest engine responds to its first structure fire
The Fairfield Glade Fire Department received a call of a structure fire Wednesday night around 10:20 p.m. from central 911 Dispatch. The fire was called in by a resident who saw a mobile single wide home fully involved with flames coming out of every window the structure.
