All county Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event Oct. 24


An All Counties Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event will be held Oct. 24, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Putnam County Fair Ground, Gate “B” Entrance.

Look under the sink, in the garage and shed for spent or unwanted products that are labeled “Danger, Warning, Poison, Caution.”

Bring household cleaners, automotive products, home maintenance and home improvement products, lawn and garden products. Also accepted with be prescription and over the counter medication.

Do NOT bring commercial, farm and business hazardous waste; medical waste and needles and sharps; explosives or ordnance including ammunition; fireworks, radioactive materials, machines and dead appliances containing oil or Freon, empty gas cylinders, smoke detectors, radium paint, dead animals.

Putnam County residents only, dispose of electronics and paint at selected Putnam County Solid Waste Dept. Convenience Centers — (931) 528-3884.
