Gloria Lusk, of Fairfield Glade, took four gold medals and two silver at the Senior Olympics of Tennessee held at Brentwood, TN.
She is an instructor in the pool program at the Cumberland Medical Center Wellness Complex at Fairfield Glade and teaches the Waterworks class at 9 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She also teaches swim classes on an individual basis as her time allows.
Lusk’s gold medals were for the 50, 100, and 200-yard freestyle and the 50-yard backstroke. The silver medals were for the 100 and 200-yard backstroke.
She retired in 1994 after 25 years as a physical education instructor at Brookside School, part of Cranbrook Schools, located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Cranbrook is an independent day and boarding school with college preparatory programs from prekindergarten through high school. The Cranbrook Institute of Science and the Cranbrook Art Museum share the campus.
