On Oct. 16, a team of nearly 40 tennis players from Fairfield Glade traveled to Tellico Village for the annual Tellico Challenge. This is a competition against another tennis community featuring women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles matches. Similar levels of players were paired up and many of the matches were very competitive. Despite the cold, wind, and rain, Fairfield Glade prevailed by a score of 208-190.
