Dear editor,
I would like to thank all the players who participated in the CCHS Baseball Booster golf tournament held at Heatherhurst Golf Club on Oct. 25. 188 players showed up on a beautiful Sunday to show their support of the CCHS baseball team. I was very happy to see the support come from so many different groups including from the school administrators and educators. Equally impressive was the amount of support from the residents of Crossville and Fairfield Glade. Over $6,000 was raised and it was only possible because of all this support.
In closing I would like to thank the Heatherhurst Golf Club staff, Mark Knaebel and his maintenance staff, the Fairfield Glade golf professionals, all the sponsors and, of course, all the players that made this such a great event in its first year. See you next year!
