The Fairfield Glade Bass Club held its 2009 Fish-Off on Lakes Dartmoor and St. George on Oct. 9-10, with the results being given at the club's annual banquet held this year at Halcyon Days. The tournament was a two-day event with 28 fishermen participating by fishing four hours on each lake. The results are as follows:
First place — Frank Feidler and Bob Suttles having 10 bass weighing 10.32 pounds
Second place — Duane Vandewalker and Dave Hixson with seven bass weighing 8.325 pounds
Third place — Scottie Davenport and Joe Bogio having eight bass weighing 7.39 pounds
Fourth place — Tom Teall and James McColloch with nine bass weighing 6.74 pounds
Fifth place — Steve Ferrell and Douglas Reed with six bass weighing 6.69 pounds
Big Bass Honors went to Steve Ferrell with his 18 1/2 inch 2.98 pound bass
At the banquet, the Angler of the Year was awarded to Lee Murray. Second place went to Tom Teall. Third place went to Jim Webb, outgoing president. Most Improved Boater went to Jerry Smith. Most Improved Non-Boater went to Joe Bogio. Largest Bass of the Year went to John Upp, the new Bass Club president, with his 24 inch, 7.075 pound bass caught on Lake Kirkstone.
