The first annual Garden and Kitchen Tour presented by the FG Ladies Club was not only a sell-out but an enormous success as well. All the kitchens and gardens toured were extraordinarily lovely. Delicious treats were served at each kitchen and blooms were in abundance in all the beautiful gardens. Many excellent ideas were garnered by the tour participants. What a delightful way to spend such a magnificent day!
This event could not have been a success without all who so willingly participated in this scholarship fundraiser, which is sure to become a favorite in upcoming years. The Ladies Club would like to especially express our sincere gratitude to Chris and Tom Evans, Margaret and Jim Mason, Bonnie and James Lamastus, Lynne Baker, Karen and Mike Boyer, Georgeanne and Carl Hubbard, Cheryl and Don Cherbot, and Barbara and Leonard Krueger, who so graciously opened their lovely homes and gardens for this delightful tour.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all who purchased tickets, for which the funds go to such a worthy cause — scholarships for deserving students in Cumberland County. Thank you to all the Ladies Club members who served as hostesses at the homes and gardens toured and those who prepared the delectable treats enjoyed along the tour. We would also like to thank our sponsor, First National Bank, who supplied the much appreciated water for tour participants. We would like to thank the Glade Sun for their help in getting the word out to community regarding our fundraisers.
The Ladies Club is a non-profit, philanthropic organization, whose objectives are to raise funds and provide scholarships to deserving Cumberland County students. We also contribute funds and volunteer our time to community organizations that offer assistance to those in Cumberland County. Patches of Life: Elevator exercise and staircase mystery
The Renaissance Hotel in downtown Columbus, Ohio, has a very efficient laundry room. The storage room is quite ample also. The employees are extremely friendly. How do we know? We were there. We were attending the graduation ceremony at the Ohio theatre and had reservations at the Renaissance.
