Adults and children — Please come and enjoy a pumpkin carving or decorating contest on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 1-3 p.m. at the Lake Tansi Thunderbird Recreation Center. Cost will be $3 per pumpkin and decorating supplies will be available. Please RSVP by Oct. 7. Show us your pumpkin skills and have great fun. Halloween Adult Dance and Costume Party will be on Friday, Oct. 23, from 7-10 p.m., at the Thunderbird Recreation Center. BYOB and snacks to share. Quilters or any hobby projects you enjoy: Beginning Sept. 17, on Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Thunderbird Recreation Center, come and socialize, bring your projects, share your ideas, have lunch and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Get to know your neighbors and bring a friend or neighbor who would enjoy a few hours of sharing a good time. Cost for lunch is $3.
