Frank F. McCabe

Frank F. McCabe, 84, of Crossville, TN passed away Dec. 19, 2006 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN after an extended illness.
He was born April 26, 1922 in Sullivan, IN, and resided in Crossville.
Frank retired in 1989 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 39 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a prisioner of war.
Frank was a member of the UAW Local #662 and DAV.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn J. (Dawson) McCabe, whom he married March 24, 1990; children, Kathy and husband Curtis Caplinger of Anderson, Frank and wife Wanda McCabe of Jeffersonville, Richard and wife Mel McCabe of Jupiter, FL; stepchildren, Pat and husband John Gomez of Ft. Wayne, Earl and wife Debbie Jenkins of Crossville, TN and Judy McCutcheon of Hixson, TN; 25 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann McCabe; parents, Selma and Hazel (Madera) McCabe; stepson, Max Jenkins; and a sister, Ernestine Lancaster.
Services were Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 at 2:30 p.m., at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson. The Rev. Tom Farling officiated.
Burial was in Mendon Cemetery-Pendleton. Military rites were performed by the VFW #266.

Long-time resident Carr passes away
Marie Carr, 93, passed away peacefully at home May 3, 2012. She resided in Shady Shores, TX, with her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Steve Miller. A memorial service will be held at Crossville First United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 23, at 2 p.m.

Exchange Club tourney comes down to scorecard playoff
The Lake Tansi Exchange Club hosted their annual tournament May 5 at the Lake Tansi Golf Course. Thirty-two teams enjoyed nice weather and good good to raise money for the Exchange Club's charities.

Memorial Day ceremony set

The Tansi Sewer Utility District is looking for 4 to 6 volunteers who would be interested in serving as a commissioner on their board of directors. Once appointed they would be expected to attend a monthly Board Meeting and any Special Board Meetings that might be called.
