The Lake Tansi Property Owners’ Association Maintenance will not be spraying the lakes for weeks in 2009. For spraying around private docks, the blue lescocide will be sold at the Lake Tansi Marina. The price of the product is not known at this time. It will be sold by the quart and gallon. Everyone is urged not to put any other products into the lakes.
Some new no-wake buoys are on order. When these arrive, all of the buoys will be properly located in Lake Tansi. These buoys are anchored based on the water depth. If they are moved, they lose their effectiveness and float away from the intended location. Floating buoys in the lake are a hazard.
After the fish inspection September 2008, the report reflected all of the fish were healthy. The bluegill and perch from Lake Mohawk were underweight for their size. This is believed to be due to the over population of fish in the lake. Everyone is encouraged to fish Lake Mohawk as much as possible.
In 2008 some residents donated monies for buying stock fish for Lake Tansi. If anyone is interested in doing this again, call Carl at the marina.
The Lakes Committee will meet sometime in May 2009. Anyone having questions or concerns, make them known to the POA office or call Carl at the marina.

Christmas is the season to bake with hearts of love
One of the ladies at the Chronicle spent last weekend with her family women making holiday candies, cookies, and treats of all kinds. On Monday, there was a break room table at the Chronicle laden as full of treats as the bakers' hearts. What a wonderful way to show how much you care for your co-workers and friends, and how special the memories are when you spend time cooking with the women in your family.
