Woman charged with theft, credit card fraud

A local woman who authorities said lived pretty good using a stolen credit card to order over $1,000 worth of Chinese takeout food has been arrested, according to police reports.

Tina Marie Henry, 38, 5749 Hwy. 70 N, was charged with theft of services and fraudulent use of a credit card, according to arrest reports. Bond was set at $2,000 with an appearance set in General Sessions Court.

Crossville Police Det. Bill Padgett reported that he was contacted by a representative of Peking Restaurant on Hwy. 127 N who told him that a woman staying at a local motel had ordered beer and food several times over the course of four days, using a credit card number. It was later learned that the credit card number had been taken without permission.

The credit card belongs to a family member living in Florida who told investigators that no one had permission to use her card.

The detective then signed warrants charging theft and fraud.
