Suspects charged in city park vandalism

— A Morgan County man and four juveniles have been charged with the vandalism of the Centennial Park playground and picnic area recently and is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Monday. The cases against the four juveniles will be heard in Juvenile Court.

Donathan Daniel Davis, 21, 268 Nelson Rd., Lancing, faces a single count of vandalism more than $1,000 and was placed under $1,000 bond, according to Deputy Anthony Loshbough's report.

Davis is employed locally, according to the report.

An arrest affidavit filed by Crossville Police Det. Bill Padgett states that on Aug. 5 Davis and four juveniles went to the city park and destroyed a picnic table, two sections of chain-link fence, several pipes and a meter.

Total damages were placed at $1,303.28, according to Padgett's report.
