The Crossville Housing Authority is reopening its Section 8 program waiting list. Section 8 is a program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that provides vouchers to help pay rent for those who qualify as very low income based on the number of household members.
Starting immediately a Section 8 pre-application can be picked up at the CHA office at 67 Irwin Avenue located beside the Crossville City Hall building. The pre-application form should be filled out and returned on the second and third Tuesday and Thursday of each month starting Feb. 9 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
