Landlord arrest clarified; set for court

CROSSVILLE — A landlord who in November called the sheriff's department for help during a dispute with a tenant and ended up arrested will have his day in court this month. In addition, one of the original charges reported in the Chronicle was in error.

Timmy Lynn Miller, 51, Breckenridge Rd., was charged with assault on an officer, resisting arrest and simple possession, according to the report. The published report indicated Miiler was charged with possession of marijuana and this is not correct. He was only charged with possession of a legend drug, which Miller said Friday he anticipates to be dismissed because he has a prescription for the drug.

The case will be called later this month in General Sessions Court. The Chronicle apologizes for the error and is happy to set the record straight.
