CROSSVILLE —
A Cumberland County man was killed Monday night in a single-vehicle crash on Peavine Rd. in the area of Woodgate Dr.
Michael A. Lima, 40, of Crossville, was driving a 1990 Ford Aero van when, according to Trooper Al Seitner’s report, the vehicle ran off the right side of the road into a concrete culvert at 9:50 p.m. The van then became airborne and overturned, partially ejecting Lima.
The vehicle came to a final rest on its top.
Lima was not wearing his seatbelt, and the officer’s opinion was that safety restraints would have made a difference in the outcome of the crash.
Blood alcohol tests were requested as part of the investigation of the crash.

The Cumberland County Board of Education is questioning if that policy needs to make a distinction between space available without portable classrooms.
