City police to move office to old municipal building

CROSSVILLE — The city of Crossville and the Crossville Police Department have announced the opening of the new police headquarters in the old municipal building across the street from its present location. The new address is 99 Municipal Ave.

The administrative offices of the police department will be closed on Friday, March 29, and again on April 1, to accomplish the move to the new building. Offices will be open on April 2.

Only administrative offices will be closed during March 29 and April 1. If the situation arises that assistance is needed from an officer, or to file a report in person, citizens are urged to contact the Justice Center on those two days and a city officer will respond to that location to assist citizens.

As always, in the event of an emergency, call 911 for emergency assistance.

The new police department will be open for normal business hours on Tuesday, April 2, and every Monday through Friday after, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"This is a time of growth for the citizens of Crossville and again, we apologize for any inconvenience during the move," Crossville Police Chief David Beaty said. "This will improve public service for many years to come."
