A 24-year-old Cumberland County resident was treated for head and facial injuries suffered when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving was involved in an accident with a vehicle during a towing incident, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department.
The crash occurred Aug. 25 around 6:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of Clear Creek Rd. when a 2000 Nissan Altima driven by Christopher B. Clark, 19, of Clarkrange Hwy., Monterey, was towing a 2002 Yamaha 350 Warrior four-wheeler being steered by Gregory G. Crabtree, when the rope somehow became entangled, causing the four-wheeler to roll over.
Reason for the tow was because the ATV had developed a fuel leak, according to Cpl. Jason Elmore's report.
When the four-wheeler rolled over, Crabtree was thrown from the ATV. Crabtree was transported to Cumberland Medical Center's emergency room for treatment.
