A Crossville woman who did not return home when expected and who was reported as a missing person was found along with a friend in an area trauma center, the victim of a traffic accident, according to local authorities.
Autumn Morello, 39, of Coleman St. in the city, and her friend, Matthew Bowen, 35, Sevierville, were located in Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga around 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to Deputy Tommy Pettus' report.
Judith Hart called the sheriff's department Monday and reported that her daughter had traveled to Georgia Sunday on a work-related trip Bowen was taking.
Hart talked to her daughter on Sunday around 8:30 p.m. and provided her with directions to travel to Crossville from Dayton. When Morello did not arrive home, authorities in Cumberland County and counties east and south were contacted with no luck.
On Wednesday it was learned that both were taken to Erlanger after being involved in a traffic accident on I-75 in the area of Chattanooga.
No information about the pair's condition was available.
