Planned growth areas hearing set for Nov. 3

Cumberland County will hold a public hearing on amendments to the planned growth areas of its growth plan. This growth plan was adopted by the county subsequent to the passage of Public Chapter 1101 by the State of Tennessee in 1999. The Cumberland County Planned Growth Committee will also hold a public hearing on a combined plan that would incorporate any proposed changes in the urban growth boundaries of the county’s municipalities. Copies of the proposed changes are available for review in the County Mayor’s office at the Cumberland County Courthouse.

Amendment to the Cumberland County Plan hearing will be heard in the large courtroom in the courthouse at 5 p.m., Nov. 3, 2009.

Combined plan for Cumberland County and its municipalities will be heard large courtroom at 5:30 p.m., Nov. 3, 2009.
