From one to two inches were dumped across the county. Steve Norris, meteorologist, said this was only the fourth snowfall on the last day of October since 1912. Cumberland County had one inch of snow on October 31 in 1930.
*E-911 work is progressing slowly. Under the system, if a person is able to dial 911, then the location and the owner of the phone from which the call was made are known. There have been a number of reasons for the three-year wait.
