Resident smacks home intruder in the face
A Lake Tansi area man was surprised to find someone breaking into his home but not as surprised as the intruder who was met with a fist to the face.
It happened at the residence of Nicholas Hayton on Lancer Court last Wednesday around 3 p.m., according to Lake Tansi Security Officer Paul Ganzer's report.
Hayton, 21, told police he was in his bedroom when he heard a noise outside and got up to investigate. When he looked out a window, he spotted three men in dark clothing walking around his home.
Hayton told police he then went to his living room where he observed a man entering his home through a sliding glass door, wearing a black beanie and white shirt.
Hayton said he punched the man in the face and the intruder turned and ran off the back porch, shouting to the others, "Let's go."
All three men jumped over a fence and ran into a wooded area near Sequoia Trailer Park, according to Ganzer's report. No arrests have been made.

Library in danger of losing state funds
