The case against a Cumberland County man that stemmed from a traffic accident in the Walmart parking lot and rolled around in the court system for well over a year was dismissed in September.
Albert Schubert was originally charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and leaving the scene of an accident. The case was bound over to action of the grand jury but remained in that status for over a year before Schubert's attorney made a motion in September to have the charges dismissed. Judge Hollars granted that motion.
Because the case was not on the docket for that day in court, the dismissal was not reported at that time.
