A Fairfield Glade area man pleaded guilty to burglary in Cumberland County Criminal Court recently and received a five-year suspended sentence to be served under house arrest of the community corrections program.
William E. Benge, 22, of Rugby Rd., was originally charged with aggravated burglary and theft less than $10,000 in connection with the burglary of a Hebbertsburg Rd. residence in August, according to court and police reports.
On Aug. 30 around 8:30 a.m., Benge reportedly entered the home of Ray Dannel and stole two rifles, two handguns and nine shotguns. The weapons were later traced to a van parked in Oak Crest Trailer Park where weapons were recovered and Benge arrested.
Benge was facing three to 15 years in prison and fines up to $10,000 when he pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary in exchange of a five-year suspended sentence. He is to pay $1,550 in restitution to cover items not recovered by police when arrested.

•Sandra Joyce Grisham, initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine, set for trial March 12.
•Lonnie Sherrill, attempted second-degree murder, motion hearings set for March 8; set for trial March 24.
•Dawn Shawn Moore, initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine, set for trial March 26.
•Alexander Ruben Carino, two counts of felony murder and attempted especially aggravated robbery, set for trial May 24; motion hearings set for Feb. 11.
•Cody Rickey Cofer, two counts of felony murder and attempted especially aggravated robbery, set for trial May 24; motion hearings set for Feb. 11.
