Suspects in Antique Mall thefts wanted in host of jurisdictions

CROSSVILLE — Three Georgia residents arrested for the theft of antique jewelry from a local business are wanted for similar crimes in more than a dozen jurisdictions, the Crossville Police Department confirmed last week.

The trio are accused here of going into the Antique Village Mall on July 21 and 22 and with stealing a couple of thousand dollars worth of items, including antique jewelry, according to Crossville Police Maj. Mark Rosser.

Charged with two counts of theft of more than $1,000 is Marlon Brandon Bell, 21, 2015 Old Bethel Rd., Chickamauga, GA, and Amanda Faye Carrington, 32, 45 Cubine Rd., Chickamauga, GA.

Katherine Michelle Buckner, 35, of 930 Marion St., Rossville, GA, is charged with one count of theft of more than $1,000.

Rosser reported that on one occasion, two females, a man and a child entered the business, located off Antique Village Dr. and Genesis Rd., and while the women and child distracted managers at the business, the male removed items from a booth.

In the second incident, one woman, child and man entered the business and while the woman and child distracted the clerk, the man stole items from a booth.

Investigative holds have been placed on the trio and charges are pending in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and in other jurisdictions in Tennessee, Rosser said.

Murfreesboro and Sevierville are among the jurisdictions that have charges pending.
