Abandoned RV had switched tag, boxes of ephedrrine

Investigation is continuing into an abandoned recreational vehicle found on the side of Hwy. 127 S. near the Vintage Antique Shop after authorities recovered a stolen license plate off the vehicle, and components commonly used in the clandestine manufacture of methamphetamine, according to reports.

The 1986 Fleedwood RV was found on the side of the main highway in Cumberland County on July 29. A witness told deputies that the vehicle had been parked at the same location since July 21.

Investigators David Hamby and Bo Kollros responded to the scene and a license plate belonging to Galloway Construction Co. of Sunbright in Morgan County was found displayed on the vehicle.

Inside the motor home investigators found a cardboard box containing between 75 and 100 boxes of assorted ephedrine and pseudoephedrine tablets, bills and liquid.

Investigation into the incident is continuing.
