Deputies stumble onto meth lab; nab Florida fugitive

Cumberland County Sheriff's Deputies who traveled to a Westel area residence in search of a man wanted by an outside jurisdiction instead nabbed a woman wanted in Florida and arrested three people after finding components for a clandestine methamphetamine lab, according to reports.

The incident took place last Monday when deputies went to 45 Gordon Lowe Rd. to serve an arrest warrant on someone wanted out of state. When officers searched the residence for the absconded suspect, they instead discovered meth lab components in plain view in a bedroom closet.

Arrested at the scene on charges of manufacture of methamphetamine were Kristi Michelle Miller, 28, 209 Deer Haden Rd.; Bridget Nicole Devaney, 23, N. Wilder Ave., Rockwood; and David Wayne Redwine, 23, 223 Circle Dr., Rockwood. All were placed under $20,000 bond with a Dec. 1 hearing set for Cumberland County General Sessions Court.

Miller was also arrested on a fugitive warrant out of Escambia, FL, where she is wanted for a probation violation. Records show Miller was on probation for making false ownership claims when pawning goods. The man deputies were searching for was not present at the residence when officers made their check
