Lady Panther freshmen posts 1-2 record

CROSSVILLE — The Stone Memorial Lady Panther freshmen basketball team went 1-2 over the last week, beating Harriman 46-17 Dec. 3 and losing 38-27 to White County Dec. 4 and 31-28 to Clarkrange on Dec. 6.

Leading scorers for the Harriman game were Lacey Melton 11 points, followed Jacie Beaty (eight points), Allison Padgett (six points), Kaycee Phipps (three points, Bailey Rutledge (five points), Jenna Beaty (three points) and Riley Hunt (10 points).

Top scorers in the White County  game were Riley Hunt with nine points, followed by Jacie Beaty (seven points), Bailey Rutledge (five points) and Lacey Melton (six points).

Riley Hunt tallied eight points against Clarkange, followed by Lacey Melton (one point), Jacie Beaty (seven points), Allison Padgett (one point), Kaycee Phipps (two two points), Bailey Rutledge (six points) and Jenna Beaty (one point).

There was no results submitted from the boys games.

Schedule: The Stone Memorial varsity basketball teams will return to the court Dec. 11 at White County and Dec. 14 at Livingston, before hosting Livingston, Alcoa and Silverdale Academy Saturday afternoon.

Action begins Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. with the Livingston vs. Alcoa, girls, followed by the Livingston vs. Alcoa, boys, at 3:30 p.m. The Silverdale-SMHS girls play at 5 p.m., followed by the Silverdale-SMHS boys at 6:30 p.m.

SMHS will travel to CCHS Dec. 17 to conclude the pre-holiday portion of their schedule.
