•Cherokee Classic: Spencer Scarbrough paced the Jets with a 75, followed by
Tayler Houston (78), Logan Stewart (81), Jordan Graham (90), Dylan Fehr (90) and DJ Shelton (93).
The top five teams were Dobyns-Bennett (303), Cookeville (306), McMinn County (309), Coffee County (312) and CCHS (324).
"Our play today (Monday) was not what I expected. Hopefully we will learn from this. I feel this team will get better as we start to play more competitive golf," said Coach Randy Herring.
CCHS 318, WCHS 334: Logan Stewart led the Jets with a 75, followed by Houston (77), Scarbrough (79), Fehr (87), Graham (88) and Shelton (89).
"We played a little better today. Our ulitmate goal is to have four scores in the 70s but if we can shot around 310 we can be competitive. The key to our success will depend on the improvement that Dylan Fehr, Jordan Graham and D.J. Shelton make," added Herring.
The Jets will travel to White County at Sparta Country Club Monday and host Cookeville next Thursday at Stonehenge.
