The Cumberland County High School bowling teams improved their records to 2-1 with victories over Livingston and White County, after losing their season opener on Oct. 5 to York Institute.
The Jets defeated Livingston 23-4 on Oct. 6 and White County 19-8 on Oct. 13, while the Lady Jets beat Livingston 14-13 and White County 18-9.
The Lady Jets are Destine Young, Jessica McClellan, Summer Brown, Michelle Dixon, Heather Ewing, Whitney Aytes and Sarah Damron, while the Jets are Andrew Waldo, Raymond Wachenheim, Dexter Pelfrey, Clint Jay, Chris Graham, Dustin Smith, Tyler Walton, Daniel Caughron-Reed and Jake Calvert.
CCHS will travel to Knox Catholic on Monday and play White County in Cookeville on Tuesday, before taking fall break off.

The SMHS wrestling team placed fifth last weekend in the TSSAA A-AA State Duals team tournament in Franklin.

The Cumberland County High School basketball teams swept a pair of District 6AAA games at Warren County Tuesday night to earn first-round byes into next week's district tournament and berths into the Region 3AAA Tournament the following week. Both tournaments are slated for the CCHS gym.
