The annual "Meet the Jets and Future Jets" night is Saturday, Nov. 7, beginning at 4:50 p.m. CST.
The elementary boys and girls basketball teams and cheerleaders from Brown, Martin, Pleasant Hill and South will be introduced, as well as the CCHS basketball teams and cheerleaders.
Here is the schedule:
4:50: Girls' warm-up (South vs. Martin)
4:55: National anthem/girls introduction (South vs. Martin)
5-5:15: South vs. Martin, girls
5:15-5:25: Cheerleaders introduction/routine
5:25-5:30: Warm-up/boys introduction (South vs. Martin)
5:30-5:45: South vs. Martin, boys.
5:45-5:55: Girls free throw contest (2 players each team, 2 high school players, both goals)
5:55-6:05: Boys free throw contest (2 players each team, 2 high school players, both goals)
6:05-6:15: Girls three point contest (2 players each team, 2 high school players, both goals)
6:15-6:30: Boys three point contest (2 players each team, 2 high school players, both goals)
6:30-6:35: Warm-up/Inroduction girls (Pleasant Hill vs. Brown)
6:35-6:50: Pleasant Hill vs. Brown, girls
6:50-7: Cheerleaders introduction/rountine
7-7:05: Warm-up/Introduction boys (Pleasant Hill vs. Brown)
7:05-7:20: Pleasant Hill vs. Brown, boys
7:20-7:25: Girls warm-up/introductions (Lady Jets)
7:25-7:40: Girls game.
7:40-7:50: Cheerleader introduction/routine
7:50-7:55: Warm-up/introductions (Jets)
7:55-8:10: Boys' game
Each game is 15 minutes with a running clock. No free throws on fouls.
Free throw and three point contest rules
•Each team should have two girls and two boys selected to shoot free throws.
•Each team should have two different girls and two different boys selected to shoo three pointers.
•Each contestant will shoot 10 shots. They will also get one practice shot. If they make the practice shot then it count, ,and they will shoot nine more shots.
•Each individual winner will receive prizes and the player's team will receive $25.
•High school players will also be shooting, but they are ineligible to win prizes.
•Each team should be at the gym at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled time, as team pictures will be taken for the newspaper. Those teams playing the late games will need to make sure that their shooters for the contests are present.
