Fifty-two teams play in FFGlade Rotary Golf Tourney

CROSSVILLE — eams played in the 2011 Fairfield Glade Rotary Club's 2011 Golf Tournament played Saturday, June 25, on the Brae Course at Heatherhurst Golf Club.

Low gross and low net honors were given in each of the four flights.

In the first flight, Earnie Brown and Cody King won low gross honors in the first flight with a 12-under-par 60, while low net honors went to Brad and Rick Davis with a 16-under-par 56. The Davises' gross score was 11-under-par 61.

C.J. and Patric Allred took low gross honors in the second flight with a seven-under-par 65, while low net honors went to Joe Carter and Bill Walker with a 13-under-par 59, off a gross score of six-under-par 66.

Jake Dailey and Dick Cloutier were the low gross winners with a four-under-par 68, with Gary and Anne Robbins taking low net honors with a 10-under-par 62 in a scorecard playoff over Tom and Fran Williams.

The Robbinses' gross score was 71, while the Williamses' was a 73; however, the Williamses had an 11 handicap compared to the Robbinses' nine, resulting the low net tie.

Mike and Darby O'Hara shot a three-under-par 69 for low gross honors in the fourth flight, while Jim and Bonnie Lamastus won low net honors with an eight-under-par 64. The Lamastuses shot a four-over-par 76.

Closest to the hole winners were Bill Walker on No. 7 and Peggy Truxton on No. 3

The closest to the line winners on No. 11 were Rob Suttles and Joan Fredricks.

The tournament's presenting sponsors were Dave Kirk Automotive, Walmart, Coca-Cola, Calloway and T.O. Campbell and Associates.

Hole sponsors were Air Express, Alan Griffin Tree Service, Bed and Breakfast Kennel, Bill Hopper Excavating, Century 21 Fountain Realty, Chick-fil-A, Comfort Suites/Hampton Inn/Holiday Express, Cumberland County Playhouse, Cumberland Eye Center, Fairfield Glade CC Golf Dept., Farm Bureau Insurance/Atchley Insurance Service, Glade Realty/Jeanne Doran; Good Samaritan Society (FFGlade), Happy Hound Realty, Home Instead Senior Care; Petrie One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, Pioneer Realty/Dean Orr/Jim Sullivan, Progressive Savings Bank, Prudential Southern Realty, Ray Home Services, TAP Publishing to Hospice, and Fran Williams.

Closest to the pins/line sponsors were Gwinn Realty, Hilliard Lyons, Crossville Service Center and Bertram Golf.

Other donors were Logan's Roadhouse, Wisdom TV, Bed and Breakfast Kennels, Red Lobster, Shadden Tire Company, Fairfield Glade Golf, Musty Putters, Sunshine Cleaners, Dr. Pamela Cain, DDS, Mary Kay Cosmetics/Pam McClain, and Bob's Discount Liquors.
