The Cumberland County Red Cross announces its second annual motorcycle poker run on Saturday, Oct. 9, to raise funds to support the local chapter. Last year, there were 80 bikes out on the poker run. All moneys earned from this ride are used to help the residents of Cumberland County who had fires and lost their homes. Everyone with a motorcycle is invited to attend this event.
Registration is at 10 a.m., with the kickstands up at 11 a.m. from the Obed River Co. Park on Highway 70 in Crossville.
The registration fee is $15 per rider or $25 per couple on the same bike. The fee includes T-shirts, food and one poker hand. There will free food at the end of the ride, free T-shirts to the first 100 paid registrations and lots of door prizes.
First place will be worth $100 and second place $50.
For more information, contact Skip Ritter, ride chairman, at the American Red Cross office at (931) 484-6348.
