North Cumberland Elementary School participated for the first time this year in the Cumberland County High School Junior Cross Country League. Over 50 students participated in the league and were recognized recently.
The junior varsity girls placed second in the competition. SMHS wrestlers claim fifth place in state duals
The SMHS wrestling team placed fifth last weekend in the TSSAA A-AA State Duals team tournament in Franklin.

CCHS basketball teams sweep Warren County
The Cumberland County High School basketball teams swept a pair of District 6AAA games at Warren County Tuesday night to earn first-round byes into next week's district tournament and berths into the Region 3AAA Tournament the following week. Both tournaments are slated for the CCHS gym.

Lady Panthers take second to end 4AA regular season
The Stone Memorial basketball teams split their District 4AA regular season finales at Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) Tuesday night, which determined their seeding for the upcoming tournament at Loudon next week.

Kids Club AAU wrestling for boys in K-5 and all girls will be offered at Stone Memorial High School. Registration will be Monday, Feb. 13, from 3-5 p.m. in SMHS wrestling gym.
