Registration is under way for Coach Tim Smith's Lady Panther Basketball Camp on July 13-16 at Stone Memorial High School.
The cost of the camp is $25, if registered by July 6. The cost includes a camp shirt, a special gift and other camp prizes. There will be individual instruction from the Lady Panthers and coaches, guest speakers, daily fundamental drills, game situations and team games.
If two or more siblings attend camp, the cost is reduced to $20 per camper. Registration at the door is $35.
The camp is divided into two sessions - 8 to 10 a.m. (for girls in grades 2-4) and 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (for girls in grades 5-7).
The camp will concentrate on teaching the fundamental skills necessary to become successful players. These skills include dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding and defense, along with learning how to be good sportsmanship and develop work skills.
