Lady Jets continue play in District 6AAA Tournament
The Cumberland County High School Lady Jet softball team split their first two District 6AAA Tournament games last week, beating White County 10-0 last Thursday and losing 5-4 to Cookeville Friday night to fall into the loser's bracket Monday evening against Warren County.

Avalon Center hosting 5K, fun run June 8
The Avalon Center will be hosting a 5K and one-mile walk/fun run to benefit the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program, Saturday, June 8, at 8 a.m. Registration is at 7 a.m.

CCHS ends regular season District 6AAA play
The CCHS baseball team ended the District 6AAA regular season by dropping their final home-and-home series with White County, losing 4-2 Tuesday night at Jet Park and 8-3 Wednesday evening in Sparta; however, the two teams will meet again in fourth seed/fifth seed game of the league tournament Saturday night in Sparta.

CRYSA soccer camp set for June 3-7
The ninth CRYSA soccer camp will be held at the Carl T. Duer Soccer Complex from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (half-day) or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (full-day) on June 3-7.
