Rhonda Lynn Garner, 62, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 22, 2012. Her family will receive friends today, Friday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. At 6 p.m., there will be a memorial service officiated by Pastor Scott White. Interment will be at a later date in Baker's Forge Cemetery in LaFollette.
Rhonda was born May 7, 1949, to Harley and Verla Stephens in Athens, TN. She spent her life as a teacher and image consultant after getting her master's degree in economics. She was an independent businesswoman; she spoke at several conventions, many at Disney World, and had several television appearances. While teaching, she taught courses on color and design, fashion marketing and economics. She loved animals, especially cats, and had a special fondness for cats no longer wanted.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Garner; brother, Ralph Stephens and wife, Irene; and many loving cousins.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Verla Stephens; and by her husband, Bob Garner.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Lou Ella Kemmer
Our beautiful angel, Lou Ella (Turner) Kemmer, 70, went home to be with the Lord May 18, 2012, after an incredible and courageously fought battle over the past several months. The family celebrated her life May 21 in her home church, the Church of God on Sparta Hwy., where she raised her family. Bro. Gene Burgess officiated the service. She was laid to rest at Grassy Cove United Methodist Cemetery.

Funeral service will be held today, May 23, at 2 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Mills officiating. Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Pomona Cemetery.

Otto Wheeley
Otto Wheeley, 90, of Johnson City and formerly of Lafayette, passed away May 21, 2012. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette. Interment will be in Macon County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m., and tomorrow from 9 a.m. until the service.

Bonnie Sue Gibson, 78, of Crossville, passed away May 16, 2012. Funeral services were held May 20 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in Whittaker Cemetery in Monterey, with Bro. Larry Robbins officiating.

Hattie Kathryn Davis, 76, passed away May 19, 2012, at her home in Sparta, surrounded by her loving family. Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 26, at Thurman Funeral Home Chapel at 4:30 p.m. with visitation from 4 p.m. until time of service.

Milford Cannon, 85, of Crossville, passed away May 18, 2012. Funeral services were held May 21 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Acres Memory Gardens with military honors given at the graveside. Bro. Jack Lawson and Bro. Phillip Lawson officiated with special music by Judy Waldo, Paul and Helen Lawson.
