Ervin Carroll Dyer, 71, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 23, 2012, at his home. The funeral service was held Dec. 27 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home at noon. Burial was in Burgess Cemetery. Pastor Rudy Oakes officiated.
He was born Sept. 24, 1941, to Thomas Lee and Rosie Burgess Dyer in Crossville. Before retiring, he worked as an auto tech. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, mowing the lawn and spending time with his family.
He is survived by wife, Brenda Hawn Dyer; son, Thomas Lester Dyer (Lori); daughters, Angela Hughes (Cecil) and Kathy McCord; grandchildren, Jenna, Timothy, Jessica, Shayla, Anthony, Marlee, Grayson and Logan; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Janice Turner, Lou Wyatt, and Sue Owens.
He was preceded preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Neal, Norman, Harold and Douglas Dyer.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
