CROSSVILLE — June 21, 1923—Jan. 14, 2013

Jack Q. Irwin, 89, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 14, 2013, at Cumberland House. Funeral services were held Jan. 17 at First Christian Church, with Larry Trotter and Bob Kastens officiating. Burial was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

Born June 21, 1923, to Newell Sanders and Ruby Alene Query Irwin in Seymour, TN, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force and served his Lord as a minister. He loved his family and was dedicated to his wife and sons.

Jack is survived by his son, Randy of Crossville; brother, Gordon Irwin of Seymour, TN; sisters, Dorothy Trotter of Knoxville and Eleanor Neratko of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Rhan Irwin; parents, Newell and Ruby Query Irwin; brother, Newell S. Irwin Jr.; and sister, Virginia Cockurm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Cumberland County and First Christian Church.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

The graveside service will be today, May 24, at 3 p.m. EDT at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Ronnie Capes will perform the service. There will be no prior visitation.
